AGREEMENT

At NYCBC, we are serious about our responsibility to protect children, youth and other vulnerable people who we serve. As part of this responsibility, we ask all our volunteers to:

1. Provide us with an updated Police Vulnerable Sector check before they are accepted into a volunteer role. The police check should be renewed every five years.

2. File an Annual Offence Declaration as an interim procedure to complement the police check procedures.

3. Attend a training session on Abuse Prevention. They will be provided with a copy of the ‘NYCBC Child, Youth and Vulnerable Person Protection Policy and Procedures’. After this, they should acknowledge and sign this Policy.

4. Read, acknowledge and abide by the Abuse Prevention Policy, the Digital Media Policy, as well as the Charter and Covenant.

Application Forms, Police Checks, Annual Offence Declarations and signed Policies will be forwarded to the Church Administrator. The Church Office will securely keep them until no longer necessary, then they will be disposed properly in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
